Leeds, is a city situated in the Northern English county of Yorkshire (known locally as God’s own county), it is the third largest and one of the fastest growing with a population of almost 800,000, greenest in the country. With rolling countryside, beautiful historical towns and cities and scenic moors all a short journey away, it is a beautiful and vibrant area of the country. The city has a lower crime rate than other cities, with a strong, thriving and diverse economy.

Home to nine successful universities producing approx. 39,000 graduates yearly, with the university of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University, hosting world-class research facilities and two of the top business schools, Leeds also has one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe, which cares for more patients than anywhere else in the North of England.

Easily accessed by road, rail and air, it is the perfect place to work and live, with direct trains daily to and from London - York and Harrogate can also be easily accessed by train. Leeds Bradford airport, based at Yeadon handles just over 4 million passengers a year - with £100m being invested in the Airport terminal regeneration which is a massive boost for Leeds and Yorkshire.

With a variety of top-class museums and galleries, Including the Royal Armories, The Thackery Museum and the City Museum – the beautiful Harewood House is just a short drive from the City Centre too.
Leeds is also the foodie capital of the North, from lovely Michelin-starred restaurants to street food festivals, it boasts amazing restaurants such as San Carlo, Tattu, Gaucho, Home, Bibis , Sous le Nez, Stuzzi and the Ivy and Ivy Asia to name just a few.

Leeds is a shopper’s paradise, Trinity Leeds is a £350 million pound retail development has been re-enforced as one of the finest shopping destinations in the UK, with many high street names trading beneath the iconic glass roof. There is the unique atmosphere of Kirkgate Market where Michael marks of Marks and Spencer first plied his trade. Designer brands can be found in the impressive Victoria Quarter and Harvey Nichols has been in the City for a number of years now. The Lonely Planet titled it ‘the Knightsbridge of the North’.

Many companies have recently moved their businesses to Leeds including the likes of Channel Four and some large companies have more than 1,000 employees based in Leeds including Asda Group, First Direct, Centrica, BT Direct Line and Ventura.With a working population of 1.9 million people with the biggest workforce in the North of England.

Leeds has the largest legal and financial centre in England outside of London, and the third largest in the UK after Edinburgh – it boasts over 200 accountancy firms and 180 legal firms.
